NEW BIKE RACKS IN DOWNTOWN DYERSVILLE

Thanks to a grant from the Dyersville Area Community Foundation, two of the approved bike racks have been installed adjacent to the downtown trail system and Textile Brewing Company.  The third bike rack will be installed at the new City Square area, once a final design is chosen and construction of the sidewalks are underway.

Local welder and bike enthusiast Dan Theisen assisted with the project adding some appropriate “personality” to the bike racks considering their proximity to the brewery.

“We look forward to the completion of the riverfront construction and tying our trail systems together in the downtown area to bring additional people downtown,” commented Jacque Rahe, who submitted the grant to the Community Foundation on behalf of Dyersville Industries, Inc.  “As more amenities are added, it will be exciting to see people enjoying this previously hidden or forgotten area of the community.”
