POSITION: Part time Children’s Programmer

LOCATION: James Kennedy Public Library

JOB DUTIES:

  • Planning and running programs for children 0-12 under the supervision of the Children’s Librarian.

  • Schedule and conduct school tours.

  • Outreach programs at daycares and schools.

POSITION REQUIRES:

  • Knowledge of child development

  • Knowledge of principle & practices of library services to children.

  • Ability to understand the needs of children and to interact with them in an effective manner.

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education, early childhood development, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
