Summary:

Beckman Catholic High School in Dyersville, Iowa, seeks a 7-12 school counselor for the 2025-2026 school year.  The school counselor is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading students in counseling activities, assisting students with personal and career needs and goals.  The school counselor also engages with students to help form them in the Catholic faith and encourages students to fulfill his or her academic potential.  Work is performed under the supervision of school administration.    

Applicants must have or be able to obtain Iowa licensure for a 7-12 school counselor.  To apply, please complete an application in Teach Iowa.  Position is open until filled.

Reports to: Principal -Salaried Position

Qualifications:

1. Preferably a practicing Catholic, active in worship and parish life

2. Masters’ Degree or higher

3. State of Iowa Certification in School Counseling

4. Self-motivated, enthusiastic supporter of Catholic faith and schools

5. Highly organized with strong oral and written communication skills
